[GAM] appearing in Collective Consciousness Theatre production "The Royale", 3/28 thru 4/14 ...

Greetings Family & Friends,

After a brief hiatus, I'm appearing on the stage again in the Collective Consciousness Theatre production "The Royale" by Marco Rameriez. Jay “The Sport” Jackson dreams of being the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. But it’s 1905, and in the racially segregated world of boxing, his journey to the title is fraught with obstacles. When a crooked boxing promoter hatches a plan for “the fight of the century,” Jay just might land a place in the ring with the reigning white heavyweight champion.

If this story sounds vaguely familiar, it is loosely based on the early years of Jack Johnson, the first black heavyweight champion during the turn of the 20th century.

Directed by Jenny Nelson and featuring Chris Bethune, Ian Anderson, Olivier Lester, Grègoire Mouning and Tamika Pettway. More information regarding this production is available from the following weblink: https://www.collectiveconsciousnesstheatre.org/the-royale

[GAM] appearing in Long Wharf Theatre production "Our Town", 10/08 thru 11/02 ...

To Family & Friends,

Just in case you have not heard, please accept this invitation to attend my current production at
Long Wharf Theatre (LWT). They are celebrating their 50th Anniversary Season with the Pulitzer Prize winning play, "Our Town" by Thornton Wilder. Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein says, “Our Town is one of the greatest plays written by an American in the 20th century. It is a profound meditation on life and death. The world of Our Town has changed since Wilder first wrote the play.

Our production will endeavor to capture what our town is today, reflecting our city, our country, and our lives.” An unquestioned classic of the American theatre told with sly humor and profound meaning, we are transported to Grover’s Corners, a place of secret wishes and disappointments, loves and losses, where the people we meet are shockingly like the ones in our own lives.
Meet Emily and George. They’ve grown up together in their small New England town, falling in love in a surprisingly complicated way. Their growing up, their living, and their dying provide the lens through which the story is told, a story that focuses on a village but encompasses the eternal, finding the world in a grain of sand.

“Indeed the play’s success across cultural borders around the world attests to its being something much greater than an American play: it is a play that captures the universal experience of being alive.” -Donald Margulies

EMILY: Do human beings ever realize life while they live it  -- every, every minute?

STAGE MANAGER: No. The saints and poets maybe. They do some.

Hello,

This is that time of the year when I step back into the world of Shakespeare with the Capital Classics Shakespeare Festival. This summer, we present what many consider the bards most romantic comedy, Twelfth Night. It concerns a cross-dressing, ship-wreck surviving, poetry-loving girl who finds herself at the center of a not-so-average love triangle. We quickly learn that Orsino is love sick over Olivia while Viola is falling in love with him Olivia is pining after Viola who she believes to be a man.  And if that isn't enough to spark your interest, come see how things unfolds as you watch others fall under the mysterious spell called LOVE!

The production is directed by Kaia Monroe-Rarick with dance choreography by
