This is that time of the year when I step back into the world of
Shakespeare with the Capital Classics Shakespeare Festival. This summer, we present what many consider the
bards most romantic comedy, Twelfth Night. It concerns a
cross-dressing, ship-wreck surviving, poetry-loving girl who finds herself at
the center of a not-so-average love triangle. We quickly learn that Orsino
is love sick over Olivia while Viola is falling in love with him
Olivia is pining after Viola who she believes to be a man. And if that
isn't enough to spark your interest, come see how things unfolds as you
watch others fall under the mysterious spell called LOVE!
The production is directed by Kaia Monroe-Rarick with dance choreography by Sonia Plumb. Capital Classics core company members appearing are David Regan, Laura Sheehan, Mike Nowicki, Geoffrey Sheehan, and Grégoire Mouning. Rounding out this very talented cast are Nick Pollifrone, James Leaf, Jacob Grannan, David Loeb, Caroline Stommes, Ben Cole, Heather Stanton, and Kiel Stango.
Come out and enjoy all of the merriment which inhabits this very funny production while Capital Classics, Inc. continue it's tradition as Greater Hartford's longest running outdoor Shakespeare festival. For your convenience, you may view the following weblinks for additional information:
