[GAM] appearing in Actors' Ensemble "Waiting For Godot"....

Hi TAML members,

Below is your invitation to Actors' Ensemble presentation of Samuel Beckett's "Waiting For Godot". Beckett's style infuses serious themes with comical wordplay of poetry, dreamscapes, and nonsense. Although very existentialist in its characterizations, this play is primarily about hope. It revolves around two homeless men and the way in which they pass the time while waiting for Godot to arrive.

"Waiting for Godot" is of the genre Theater of the Absurd. This implies that it is meant to be irrational. Absurd theater does away with the concepts of drama, chronological plot, logical language, themes, and recognizable settings. There is also a split between the intellect and the body within the work. Both of which cannot exist without the other.

This production is under the direction of Dana Sachs and will conculde Actor's Ensemble sixth season at Tabor Lutheran Church. The cast in order of appearance includes:

Estragon................Grègoire Mouning
Vladimir................Wes Stover
Lucky...................David Duffner

It has been said, most people spend their lives waiting for something, but are not sure of what
exactly. This play asks you to do the same.

Let's go.

We Can't.

Why not?

We're waiting for Godot!

Come see for yourself what unfolds!
